APPLICATION
Algeria Light Steel engineers houses and villas in light steel framing (LSF) from your drawings, from a design to adapt or from a brief still to be developed. The designs shown on the site serve as starting points: they limit neither the architecture nor the scope of the project.

THREE STARTING POINTS
The starting point changes the first stage of the study, not the level of rigour of the finished project.
We check that they are compatible with the system, then coordinate geometry, structure, openings, roof, supports and service holes before manufacturing.
A design from the site, a sketch or a visual reference can be used to discuss volumes and layout. It is then adapted to the site, the brief and the applicable rules.
Describe the areas, the rooms, the storeys, the priorities and the site. The project can be designed without choosing an existing design.
In all three cases, the architecture still has to be assessed for the actual project. A design is neither a set of construction drawings nor a frame that has already been calculated.
FROM PROJECT TO MANUFACTURING
Design is not a matter of replacing the walls on a drawing with steel sections. It organises the load-bearing frame together with the interfaces that will allow the building to work.
Site, orientation, levels, layout and access define the starting geometry.
Spans, floor openings, stairs, windows, roof and loads determine the components to be engineered.
Façades, insulation, air and water tightness, vapour, acoustics and service routes are coordinated with the frame.
Geotechnics, slab, foundations, bearing levels and anchors remain specific to the site and the project.
Thermal, acoustic and fire performance depends on the complete build-up of the building and on its justification, not on the steel frame alone.
The sections are cut, perforated, marked and grouped by panel. Assembly of the panels and of the frame is carried out locally from the documentation provided for in the contract.
The framing panels and trusses are pre-assembled in the factory, then delivered for erection of the frame on site.
We can broaden our scope around the frame towards the envelope, building services, fit-out or a more complete building, depending on the contract and the location of the project.
The prefabrication level — or a scope extended to the building — is chosen according to the local team, logistics, programme and allocation of responsibilities; it is not dictated by the type of house.
NEED A STARTING POINT?
These designs are there to discuss an arrangement or a footprint. We also accept clients’ own drawings and briefs that match no published design.

These models are adaptable concept designs for clients who do not yet have plans of their own.
PREPARING THE STUDY
Send whatever already exists: drawings or sketches, location, site data, number of storeys, floor areas, roof, large openings, target programme and the level of support you are looking for. Without drawings, simply describe the brief and your priorities.
Have your house engineered from what you already have.
