A frame to supply or a building to deliver?

Algeria Light Steel can work on the structural core of the project or undertake a broader scope around the building. In both cases, the starting point is the same: understand the project, define the frame, prepare the components and then manufacture them from approved documentation.

Engineering and manufacturing remain the common foundation

Whether the scope is limited to supplying the frame or extends to a broader building project, Algeria Light Steel starts with the same requirement: develop the project into a technically defined, manufacturable solution before production begins.

The drawings, brief, loads, openings, supports and interfaces with the floors, roof and services are translated into a structural model. Grids, sections, bracing and connections are defined and then frozen in approved documentation that assigns the manufacturing data for every component: length, cut, perforation, service hole and identification mark.

In the factory, this documentation controls the cold-forming of galvanised steel and the preparation, identification and inspection of the components. They are then grouped by panel for a Structure Kit or pre-assembled into panels, trusses and subassemblies for a Panel Kit, depending on the level selected after the study.

This common foundation connects architectural intent, engineering and the factory in a continuous process. The commercial choice therefore concerns not the degree of technical rigour, but the extent of the scope entrusted to Algeria Light Steel.

Solutions

The engineering and manufacturing foundation remains the same; what changes is the extent of the scope. Once the project has been assessed, Algeria Light Steel defines its involvement around one of two scopes. Structure Kit and Panel Kit are not additional solutions: they are two possible levels of prefabrication within the Light Steel Framing Supply solution.

Solution 1

Light Steel Framing Supply

The load-bearing frame is engineered, manufactured and prepared to fit the organisation of your construction site.

Algeria Light Steel undertakes the structural engineering, fabrication documentation and production of the cold-formed galvanised steel components. The level of prefabrication is defined after the study: Structure Kit for sections that are cut, perforated, marked and grouped; Panel Kit for panels, trusses and subassemblies pre-assembled in the factory. The choice takes account of transport, access, lifting and the available erection resources. Frame erection can also be included in the agreed scope.

  • Scope centred on the load-bearing frame and its preparation.
  • The envelope, building services and finishes remain outside this solution unless services are expressly added to the contract.

Solution 2

Custom Building Project

The frame and the work packages around it are coordinated within a single project scope.

When the requirement extends beyond frame supply, Algeria Light Steel can broaden its involvement to include design coordination, the building envelope, roof, windows and doors, building services, fit-out and finishes, up to a completed, habitable building where provided for in the contract. Interfaces between the frame, openings, floors, roof and services are then resolved before manufacturing begins.

  • The scope is composed according to the brief, the site and the required level of finish.
  • Services, interfaces, responsibilities and limits are defined in the contract.

DEFINE THE SCOPE

The project comes first. The right scope follows.

Whether you already have drawings, a preliminary design, an inspiration or simply a need that still has to be defined, tell us about the building, its site and what you would like Algeria Light Steel to undertake. Together, we will determine the scope to be studied.

Services, responsibilities, prices and lead times are defined for each project and formalised in the contract.
