APPLICATION

Industrialise what repeats, protect what must vary

A development of several homes is not a matter of reproducing one house. The industrial potential appears when the types, variants, interfaces and phases are settled early enough to organise manufacturing, delivery and erection across the whole development.

Group of townhouses illustrating a grouped residential building type.

FROM BUILDING TYPE TO CONSTRUCTION SITE

Organise the development before starting the series

  1. Types and variants

Identify what genuinely repeats, what varies and the common interfaces between homes, circulation, foundations and other systems.

  2. Approval before manufacturing

The applicable documentation is frozen by an Approved for Fabrication signature before the components concerned are released.

  3. Manufacturing batches

Panels, sections and identification marks are organised by type, building, storey or phase according to the strategy adopted.

  4. Deliveries and erection

Shipments follow the areas released, the storage capacity, the lifting equipment and the actual pace of construction.

No universal rate is announced without knowing the number of units, the variants, the logistics, the scope entrusted and the progress of the preceding works.

Standardise without freezing the architecture

What benefits from being settled

  • grids and reference levels
  • families of panels and openings
  • interface details
  • recurring service holes
  • identification marks and erection sequences

What can vary if it is planned

  • orientation of the homes
  • façades and solar shading
  • layout options
  • adaptation to particular plots
  • levels of finish provided for in the brief

Useful repetition applies to decisions that are under control. It does not require every home to be identical.

Structure Kit or Panel Kit at the scale of the development

Panel Kit

It becomes particularly coherent where repetitive panels can be pre-assembled in the factory and delivered in a regular sequence, with suitable handling equipment.

Structure Kit

It retains more local assembly and can reduce logistical volume, provided the necessary organisation and skills are available on site.

Custom building project

Where the contract extends beyond the frame, we can coordinate a broader scope around the envelope, building services and fit-out.

A single development may combine several approaches by phase or by building type where the project justifies it.

PREPARING THE STUDY

The data needed to assess the development

Send the site plan, the building types, the number of units, the phases, the available drawings, the location, the storeys, the structural interfaces, the target programme, the erection strategy, the logistical resources and the scope you are looking for.

Tell us about your residential development and its phasing.
